"Embracing Self-Worth: Prioritising Your Feelings Amidst Bullying and Discrimination"

I wanted to share a personal story about overcoming bullying and finding inner strength:

- Growing up, I faced discrimination from classmates and even my own cousins.

- My mother, sister, and dog Brownie were my support system.

Bullying in school is sadly common, but I hope millennial parents teach their children to be kinder. What truly hurt me was my cousins' behaviour. However:

- As I grew up and started helping my father with chores, our conversations changed my perspective.

- I gained confidence and stopped seeking validation from others.

If you've faced bullying, remember:

- You are important and deserve respect.

- Confidence isn't about success or failure; it's about believing in yourself.

- Express your feelings and don't try to please everyone.

- Forgive, but don't forget, so you don't fall prey to the same misfortunes again.

I hope my story helps you find your inner strength. Let's support each other and create a kinder world.
